Volcan Mountain

Got there around 630 am and were the first ones on the trail. It was warmer than expected. Pretty easy hike. Took the Volcan Mountain Trail then the Five Oaks Trail. Was scenic and started to get foggy near the top. Once you get past the Observatory Outpost, the fog got thick, the wind was howling, and the mist was coming sideways across the trail. Was pretty cool and cold. Made it to the Airway Beacon Light Tower at the summit and then found the survey marker in the trees above the cement pad. Hung out for a few then headed back down. Passed a bunch of hikers coming up. Stopped at California Mountain Bakery right when you hit the 78 off Wynola. Amazing fresh bread, pastries, and biscuits. Worth it
