Volcan Mountain was the second peak in our Twofer Day, after Cuyamaca. Volcan Mountain Wilderness Preserve is about 2,900 acres of mixed conifer forest. Volcan Peak rises over 5,000 feet behind the quaint town of Julian and offers spectacular views from the desert to the coast.
