Vulcan New Year

Kicked off the New Year and 2023 6 Peaks Challenge by hiking Vulcan Mountain. I completed the Challenge last year and enjoyed it, while also providing some good training for eventual longer and challenging hikes, including Mount Whitney.

I wanted to get this hike in prior to the next rainstorm. The trail conditions were great and for the most part dry (1/9/2023). The temps were in the high 40’s, so not to bad and the winds were light except at the summit.
