There was no one else in the parking lot by the trailhead so we thought we might be using a less popular route.  We wandered for a bit and figured out that Wasson Peak via Sendero Esperanza Trail to Hugh Norris Trail is the best option when looking for an out-and-back hike between 7 and 8 miles.  It was a super windy day, but that did keep us cool since the temps hit the 80’s that day.  Lots of wildflowers were already popping.
