Warm up hike was warm indeed

I was getting cabin fever after the rain last week kept me grounded and I was glad to go out. Today a warm-up hike, tomorrow something else. Bizarrely, it went from snow to quite warm in two days. I saw just a tiny patch of left-over snow on the north slope of Strawberry peak. Plenty of nice people on the trail, including some six-packers, and a crew of six volunteers doing trail maintenance after the rain. Made sure to thank them for their amazing work.
