Wass-ON, Wass-Off

Caught this hike late in the season (& the challenge), but checked it off the list none the less.
It was exposed and hot, as was to be expected. We made it to the top, signed the register, took in the views but didn’t stay long with the flies.
The trail was a steady gradual incline followed steep switchbacks. We opted to take the longer, more gradual route down from the peak, making a loop back to the trailhead. Views of Picture Rock and Picacho from the peak. Lots of cactus blooms and lizard friends, thankfully no rattlesnakes – ’tis the season.
