Headed down to Tucson while it was still dark to start hiking around sunrise. Very nice trail to the peak, a steady climb but not too difficult, with no scrambling. About 3.4 miles along, the trail joins up with the Kings Canyon trail for the rest of the way up to the peak. Beautiful views at the top. Such a nice day that I was wearing a tank top and shorts in December! As long as I was in Tucson I stopped by to visit my college student so it was an especially great day.
