It was GREAT going up on a weekday! We practically had the whole summit to ourselves (approximately 4 people total)!

The weather was absolutely perfect! The Mountain Forecast website said it would be 45 degrees at the summit, but at the tram station, it said 60 degrees. 60 degrees was correct! It was a very comfortable and cool hike up, so nice.

There were several sections in the first 3 miles where the trail was “messy” and hard to follow. Probably due to the snowmelt and recent rains/hurricane. We were able to get back on trail quickly, but lots of big rocks, roots, etc.

We encountered a couple of downed trees, but they didn’t block the trail.

Finished the hike off at the Mountain Station bar with a celebratory beer! It was great!!!
