The view was magnificent, the snow covered hemlocks tranquil.  There is significant ice that even microspikes were insufficient for at times.  Not recommended for a winter hike if you haven’t had experience with icy conditions but if you have…you’ll enjoy the occasional challenges.  Worth the effort!
