White Christmas in April

4/6/2024. Nice new gate! Trail was covered with white, soft snow all the way up to the summit but no advanced gear or expertise necessary. It quickly became slushy in parts where the sun was hitting especially on descent. Just in awe of looking at the white Christmas pine trees everywhere. We counted about 7 fallen trees across on different parts of the trail but not difficult though to walk by or around it. Quite a number of hikers today; friendly & cordial.
