This was the 3rd hike in the challenge and the 1st time I used poles. I loved the forest feel and the beautiful weather. It was the favorite hike of the 3 I had done. We saw 2 helicopter ???? rescues, one at the peak and the other at the look-0ut. This was when I realized this hiking was serious stuff. My partner and I got separated on the last leg down and hike alone to the bottom. A big lesson learned…always have eyes ???? on your hiking buddy.
