I did the hike solo. I started at 5:30 in attempts to beat the heat. Took me about 4.5 hours for the 9 miles. Once I got up the mountain, I did just the lookout trail as doing the one mile extra would have taken an extra hour and I did not want to be hiking while it was too hot. I want to do it again tho. I loved this hike, it would be perfect for camping out there since it is so flat and incredible views of Sedona.
