Wind Day on Mt. Humphreys

What a day! That is an understatement! We picked a day without a cloud I. The sky. Started the hike in a brisk morning. Had to walk quickly to get the blood flowing so we could warm up. The trail was rated as hard and it was! Lots of wonderful people on the trail. What a view from the saddle, couldn’t wait to see what could be seen from the top. The trail was hard to follow. After a few wrong turns, we made it to the top in 2 hours and 43 minutes. The wind was blowing about 50 to 60 MPH. I moved without even trying. Didn’t stay too long because we were freezing up there. The hike down was maybe harder than the hike up. Big drops shadows that hid ankle busters. Made it down. The whole hike took us 5 hours and 37 minutes.
