What a doozy!! Never have I been more proud of myself. This hike is without question difficult and forced me to dig deep to keep on pushing through. I hit the trail at 0845 and stepped off at 1428. Total hike time was 5:14:19. I will say I got so lucky with the weather the day of my hike. It was overcast and a high of 75 degrees, perfect weather. I would not attempt this hike in summertime. It is strenuous and there is little to no shade.

As mentioned in many posts the trail lacks good markers. I took screenshots of the the directions on SocialHiker. Though I found myself slightly off trail one time fortunately I had good service and was also able to use the AllTrails app to navigate back on trail. Another source of comfort is that this trail is heavily trafficked so you can also link up with fellows hikers if you need to.

I would do this trail again, just not anytime soon. I’m happy to have it out of the way and look forward to wrapping up the series with Wasson. Happy hiking everyone!!
