Worth it for the views
It took some effort to find the hidden parking lot entrance, but it was exactly as described in the directions. Very hike-able mud for 1 1/2 miles on an old jeep road. Wide open views within 2 miles. Sharp left at 2.1 miles took us to the top. The summit is deceiving and we initially overshot by staying on the road. Once at the top, we found the geographical marker. The 360 degree views were awesome and included the Painted Hills. Wandered around the summit with lunch at the top. A bit of wind and layers were helpful. Saw one cow, 2 hikers and 2 dogs. A hidden gem of a hike!
