Hiked with a group

This was a hot one! Started the hike at 7am and it was already near eighty degrees. The first two miles to the peak were relatively flat with ample shade. But the last scramble to the peak was steep and exposed to the sun. The average temp for the hike was around the mid 90s on this hike, so water was crucial. We also made sure to keep our eyes peeled for rattlesnakes since the group ahead of us mentioned that they saw one.

Fortunately the trail was clear and maintained, and there were stunning views of the San Gabriels all the way up. Seeing that American flag at the top signifying our summit was the most relieving feeling. Overall the hike was pretty manageable regardless of the weather. I built up a solid sweat but felt amazing.
