Hiked with a partner

It was the perfect time to hike, lots of wildflowers in bloom! And so many varieties.

Many reviews on AllTrails recommended hiking this trail CCW. And so we did. I believe the recommendations were to avoid hiking down through loose rock.

Started hiking around 8:30. There was still some shade on the trail. But as the sun I got higher, the ocotillos became stunningly beautiful as the sun shown through their leaves!

There were a few portions of the trail where the steepness was a bit of a challenge, but I found it to be nothing compared to some of the other hikes included in the six peak challenge. My friend and I completed the hike in about 4 1/2 hours which included 30 min at the top.

Something good to know: there are no toilets at the trailhead.
