There are two ways to begin this, at the trailhead below, or at the summit. Starting at the trailhead it is 8 miles uphill to the summit, then 8 miles (steep) downhill back.  We accidentally started at the summit, which turned out to be great.  The morning mist and views from the summit down were fantastic.  By late morning this was gone.  Coming back up was not easy, but fun.   This turned out to be one of my favorite hikes.
