Can I start the challenge before receiving the welcome package?

I registered for the Socal six-pack of Peaks challenge today and like to start my first challenge this weekend. As I haven’t received the welcome package and instructions yet, am I able to start the hike? What proof do I need for the competition of hike?

Welcome to the SoCal Challenge!

You can log hikes for any of the peaks completed in 2023, even if they were before you received your welcome packet and instructions. We batch send out welcome packets weekly, so you should receive it soon.
