Hiking Across England on the Coast-to-Coast Walk
My wife and I will be hiking across the country of England, from the west coast to the east coast. I took a deep dive into our itinerary.
TOTAL MILEAGE: 1923.53 miles
TOTAL CLIMB: 27,848′ (this surprised me)
BIGGEST VERTICAL GAIN IN ONE DAY: 3,849′
LONGEST DAY: 20 miles
We start hiking on the 25th. I’ll likely post daily updates via Instagram, but sometime after we return I’ll write-up a detailed guide. The Coast-to-Coast Walk is a route devised by Alfred Wainwright, but has been voted to receive the British version of national scenic trail status. This won’t be official until 2025, but it means more budget allocated for trail work, signage, etc.

Looks like a trek that will challenge and change you. You’re ready for this. I love think believe that when the hiker is ready, the trails arrive! Life’s a gift – keep accepting it, open it, and be thankful for it. Look forward to reading whatever you post once that adventure starts.
