Hello, I’m Margaret. I like to hike because there is something magical about working hard to get to the Summit. Especially when there is breathtaking views. I also like to hike to show my family and friends that I am not controlled by my asthma, and it doesn’t define me. I mainly do solo hikes because I fear that I will fall behind/slow others down. I am trying to do the NH48.

Welcome to the community, Margaret! My wife has chronic asthma, but like you, she still gets out there. In my opinion, the slowest time WINS! You get to see, experience and enjoy more at a slower pace.

But regardless of whether you go slow or fast, the fact that you’re out on the trail is a mark of success.
