NorCal: Rose Peak closure
I’m wondering if it’s time to start thinking about an alternate to Rose Peak for the NorCal challenge? The Ohlone Trail remains closed in this area, apparently to keep people away from Lake Del Valle. I’ve had my Ohlone permit for months (before signing up for the challenge) and it’s never been open. I wasn’t too concerned, but given the last couple weeks, it seems increasingly plausible that this area may not reopen this year.

Following. I think we all are wondering about that, and in the worlds biggest hignsight, had we known then what we knew now, we would have done that park way early.
What WILL happen if that peak does not open? Will they allow for a different peak or would we be DQed?
