I’m planning to hike San Jacinto on June 9. Can anyone tell me if a permit is needed, and if so, how to get it? Also, what are the main route options?

Hi Susan! Yes, a permit is necessary but for day hikes they are easy to get. I’m going to share three routes (there are more). Each of these links has info on permit requirements.
