Time to Finish Challenges
I’ve thus far only done the AZ Summer & Winter challenges. Are they different in terms of deadline to other challenges? I was considering traveling to nearby states and it seems like many of them start Jan 1st and I see finishers all year long, whereas the AZ ones really only seem to last 6 months. Or is it 6 months from when you sign up?

Yes, they are the exception to the calendar year rule. For all the other challenges, you technically have from January 1 to December 31 of a calendar year to complete them. I say “technically” because many of the trails are difficult to complete in the winter, where they are no longer hikes, but winter mountaineering excursions. Plus some of the roads to the trailheads close down, making it more of a summer endeavor for most people.
