Took Alltrails Ontario Peak and Bighorn Peak Loop. Started early to avoid heat. I’ve never been excited to hike Ontario always thought Cucamonga was better but I was schooled today. The terrain is totally different and really quite beautiful and there are amazing views most of the way. I even had a stare down with a big horn sheep. The trail grade is easier than Cucamonga too which was pleasant. There were tons of beautiful birds out and even got some light showers at the peak. I skipped over to Bighorn Peak on my way back. Not super exciting but I did get a pic with the sign and was so close had to check it out. Took the long loop back to the car after the saddle which was a little easier on the feet as grade wasn’t as steep as main trail but did seem to drag on and on. Gave my feet an ice bath in the river near the cabins before ending my day. Instant refresh! Awesome day!
