Did Sawmill as part of the 3-2-1 Challenge and it was such a fun decision! Highly recommend to anyone. 3 very different peaks in one day
Absolutely beautiful hike! Been hiking for close to 20 years and this is probably now in my top 3 favorite. Definitely recommend some wind breaker type jacket, the wind really whips on top of Pinos and Sawmill.
Grouse might be lowest elevation but it's no push over, especially after all the up and down covered earlier in the hike. Trail well maintained and wide in most areas. Beautiful tribute to the Chumash nation too between Pinos and Sawmill at the wildlife viewing area
