It had only been a few weeks that the San Bernardino Peak hike had been open again before our group took to the trail. The effect of the El Dorado fire was very apparent with much of the terrain burnt and destroyed. It was a sad sight compared to previous years where the lush greenery of the trail was abundant. Hopefully coming years bring back the beauty of the trail.
