This was a challenging hike but fun.  We started at 6:45 am where it was 62 degrees.  We finished the hike at 12:30 and it was 97 degrees.  A 35 degree difference.  Our dog, Koda, really felt the heat.  He is a black labradoodle so his hair absorbs the heat.  He ran from shade area to shade area on the way down.

There were many areas of the trail that were overgrown with stiff/sharp bushes causing many scrapes and scratches on our arms and legs.  There were also these biting flies that kept landing on us and biting us.

Aside from all that, we had a good hike and loved the view at the summit.
