It was Labor Day, the trail was not too crowded.  When I got the trail head (parking) some bugs came in my car, so at the trail bugs were an annoyance. Bugs were bother me only early in the morning. The trail was so peaceful and most of trail in shade.  Many times switch back, such a fun, beautiful view.
