The upper portion of trail up to Strawberry Peak from Colby Canyon isn’t well maintained and requires a bit of rock climbing around 2/3 of the way up and then for the last 300ft vertical. Half of our group bailed out on the second climb. The upper half of the trail was very overgrown in many places with sharp brush that scratched up our legs. Still enjoyed it a lot. Others at the summit said the trail from the redbox trailhead was much more hiker friendly.

Get an early start before it gets too hot.
