Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

San Bernardino Peak is one of my favorite of the Six Pack. The views and gradual climb always make for a wonderful day to be on the trail. On this day we encountered some patches of snow in the last two miles, but nothing that was too difficult to get around. When we got to the summit we had it to ourselves and enjoyed the serenity and beautiful show of butterflies. We couldn’t have asked for a better day!
