Did anyone else have a difficult time finding this trail? Thankful I ran into someone that knew their way around up there because AllTrails map wasn’t bringing me to the correct place. What I learned is that after the incline stick to the right side, there’s a nice trail take that trail for a short time. Not far down the trail is a path about a foot wide that jets off to the right, take that path. I really struggled to navigate the trail at first. Just know it’s a lot of switchbacks and that helped me follow it. When it starts to level out you come to a fork. Stay to the left. If you start going downhill you are on the wrong trail. If you run into the old ladder you have actually made it to the correct place. The summit is amazing!

I think I was the person (runner with long gray hair) you “ran into” to give you some information about where the peak is. I am glad you found it. I was a little worried that my guidance may not have been the best. Going up the switchbacks, there is another trail to the left but it is blocked by some logs. The actual left turn was a bit further up. Thank you for the information about this challenge. I signed up! All the best on completing the challenge. Todd
Thank you so much for saving me on this one! I would have been so mad if I would have had to come back and do the incline again to find the trail!
The trail to the summit hasn’t been maintained in ages, so the “tread” that’s there is from the few who find it. This is definitely one of those treks where a GPS track is useful. We have the GPX file for this available for download and use with GaiaGPS (and most other GPS apps). Follow the links on this page: http://socialhiker.net/six-pack-peaks-challenge/colorado-rockies/
Also had some issues keeping to the trail but I had the GPX from GaiaGPS that allowed me to get on track. The return path was much easier to track by eye than the ascent. Most folks have zero idea that there is something beyond the Incline summit (besides Pikes Peak). It was a nice challenge.
