The humidity was no joke but we were prepared with extra water as we knew we would need it for this hike. We started up the falling waters trail where there is a gorgeous waterfall that is a must see. We also stopped at the Sliding Rock which was a little off the trail but worth it. It’s much better on a clear day but I still enjoyed it being in the clouds. We made it up to Lincoln and we were in the clouds completely. A little bummed as the last time I did this hike it was a clear day and the ridge is truly gorgeous. We had a snack took our summit photos and just as we were continuing on the finish the ridge little haystack peeped out of the clouds and was quickly covered before we could get a clear picture of it. As we continued on the ridge and the mountains kept playing peekaboo with us and what a lovely sight to see. After climbing Little Haystack and then moving onto Lafayette we descended down Old Bridle path and stopped at the Greenleaf hut where we checked our water supply and topped it off before continuing down the the parking lot. It was hot and very humid but definitely worth it!!
