I decided to get off work early to summit Mt. Umunhum. In the past I have gone and the trails have been crowded with mountain bikers and other hikers. This time around there was not a soul to be found on the parking lot, trail, and peak. The only person I saw the entire time was the park ranger waiting for me to leave the parking lot after my hike.
The hike overall was peaceful with a little mist of rain and fog. Ran into multiple deers on the trail who were surprised to see anyone on the trail. The summit itself was cloudy and foggy so not much to see. Due to the gusty wind and upcoming sunset closure, took a few photos and then headed back down. Overall a good late afternoon/evening hike.
