Mount baldy, let's say it got easier as I did it.

Last year this hike kicked my butt, but I didn't know the trail and didn't know what to expect. So far this year I have summited baldy 4 times, you can say I enjoy the views at the top.

Started at 6.30, pretty cold day which Roxy and I enjoyed. Like always baldy kicks your butt up the bowl all the way to the ski hut. Today it was different Roxy keep wanting the attention of another fellow hiker behind us which really bothered me because I had everything planned anyways we got that out of the way.  Small patches of snow covered the trail which was fun for lil miss Roxy I had some fun too. Once at the ski hut we rested ate some snacks, hydrate and then we continue onwards the bowl. The bowl is a different beast but I knew what I was getting into and I was prepared and honestly it wasn't that bad. Snow covered the trail but I didn't needed crampons or spikes to go up the mountain. That last stretch to the summit always gets hard. But as I saw Roxy in front of me she gave me the strength to continue pushing thru. And finally summit, this day the views were amazing, clear skies not windy it was just perfect.  We always get the summit to ourselves which is the great thing about hiking during the week. The way down is always tough, the best way to save your knees will be to go back the devils back bone but we didn't do that we went down the bowl again, because we love punishment. Like I said we have summit baldy 4 times this year. We will have to wait to the cold days to summit again.
