This was peak #6. Day after thanksgiving we hit the bumpy road of Maple Spring to get our starting point. The weather was very foggy/cloudy. On the drive up Maple Spring road, we could only see 20ft ahead of the car. The road it bumpy and narrow so high clearance vehicle needed. My Subaru Outback did great but I would not attempt it in any regular vehicle. Throughout most of the hike visibility was only 25yds. It rained on us a little at the beginning. As we neared the peak, the sun peak out from behind the clouds and then quickly went away. Since we were already up there, we added Modjeska peak to the hike. When we got back to the car the skies were clearing. The drive out was met quite a bit of oncoming traffic (people in jeeps and other 4×4). The road is really only big enough for one vehicle so need to keep you eyes open and take any turns outs you see to let others pass.
