Decided to make an adventure of my time in the Tonto National Forest. After finishing Flatiron in the morning, I had lunch and made my way to Peralta Canyon Trailhead. Packed an overnight bag and set out for the lone tree. Trail was incredibly covered and cool from the afternoon sun being hidden. The breeze was incredibly helpful and finally seeing the view of Weaver’s Needle was everything you would hope! Made a small trek over to the lone tree and setup camp for the evening. Not a single person around, just the glory of the sunset and some cute birds hanging out nearby. Packed up in the morning and explored more of the loop trail before heading back to my car. Great views, lots of small wildlife and blooming desert plants.
