I started before daylight so temps were cool and after the saddle I was in the shadow of the mountain. Really enjoyed alpine feel of the trail after the saddle. Some spots in the first 2 miles were washed out as a result of tropical storm Hillary. If you go before sunrise keep your head on a swivel. It’s easy to get of trail. Keep on trucking!
