Love this hike. We took the Azalea trail, got lost for over a mile, but that’s okay because the view is amazing, trees are green, love the clear Cuyamaca lake view. We took the Cornejo trail (right trail to the peak). This trail has lots of rocks, good traction trail shoes is a must. The last 0.8 miles to the peak is hard, heely, but all worth coz the view on top is breathtaking! Recommend this hike and don’t mind returning again.

Where is the wooden sign? I hiked it a few weeks ago and looked everywhere
Sorry for the late response. It was there when we went . I hope it did not fell.
