Trail was very steep for first two miles and rocky/ snow in rhe next few miles. The last miles are hard glacial ice more than snow difficult to walk without spikes/crampons. Added miles to navigate around all the crevasses opened up in muir snowfield. Sunset and Sunrise at the base camp were worth the streneous hike.
