Tent Camped overnight 30min from Trail Head at Barton Flats. 7:35am we were at the trailhead. The Mile after crossing the dry Creek and heading up to Vivian Creek is a gut check. If you are in shape, your body will forgive itself till you are past High Camp and about a mile from the peak, where you will have another gut check. Love the moon scape at and around the peak. It was 42 degrees at the top and 17mph gusts putting the temp in the hi 30's. Great Views all over. On the way back down, we pumped water at high camp – we only had .5 liters left. This is a 17.7-mile hike with a moving time of 10 hours. The sun was setting by the time we got back to the car. Also, at peak meet Larry and Eric (6-pack peak challengers)
