Anyone not familiar with this hike, don't repeat my mistake and take Angeles Crest Hwy to the trail head and parking lot. I almost drove up on my truck on that FS Route! The day was great, sunny with a bit of wind at the peak. This hike as the alternate to Mt. Wilson is a little better as far as the views at the peak. Even the parking lot has a nice little picnic area with shade and table. Hike #1 completed of the six!!!

True story, Google Maps took me up that road in my Xterra. I didn’t NOT return the same way. 😉
Oh so you took it all the way to Pacific Crest trail head? I wonder why google maps would suggest that route as opposed to Hwy 2??? Weird haha
