Invited a friend from the coast to participate in the Six Pack of Peaks Challenge. On her way into town, we met and used the upper trail at Black Butte for a sunset summit. On the way up we witnessed the cool looking shadow of Black Butte as the sun went down. The air was a little smoky, but the sunset was beautiful. The wind was blowing hard up there, so we were happy to have brought some layers! We finished the our descent in the dark with headlamps. It was such a fun experience!
