Baldy was a challenge! The first half is relatively calm as you trek along service roads and ski paths. Once pass the Ski resort, well, then you half to work for it a bit! Lot of elevation gain in a short amount of time! The Devil's Backbone was clear of snow and with awesome views! I appreciated the Cucamonga hike landscape more because it has more tree coverage but I loved that I could see the Wrightwood Ridgeline from the peak of Baldy since that is my home stomping grounds! It was cold and windy at the top so appreciate the weather and dress accordingly!
