Baden-Powell is one of my favorite SoCal mountains. Why? I'm not sure. Maybe it's the immaculate condition of the trail, the fact that the trail is part of the PCT, or maybe it's that it's one of the shortest in the SoCal Six Pack. Perhaps it's the beautiful trees and the lack of poison oak. Or maybe it's the view of Mount Baldy once you get to the top. Whatever it is, I keep coming back. This hike was enjoyable with few challenges and lots of smiles. I haven't been hiking as regularly this year so when I can get out and enjoy the trails and the altitude hikes, I am happy.
