5.6.22 – Mount Baden-Powell captured my heart today. Such a fun hike filled with adventure (umm, slipping and falling on my butt a few times in the snow), spectacular views at the top, friendly PCT thru-hikers, physical challenge, and perfect weather. Sun and snow is a pretty magical combo!

And, with this peak, that’s 5 of 6 done for the #sixpackofpeakschallenge. 💪

Note: if you’re going to do this hike in the coming weeks before the snow melts, shoes with good tread and hiking poles are a minimum, in my mind. I didn’t need my micro spikes, but it was definitely slippery and the trail was completely covered in snow at certain parts. Also, because it’s easy to lose the trail in the snow, I recommend having an offline version of a trail map to check on as you go. Helped me a lot on the way down, as I tried to stay on the path!

Maybe my favorite hike yet. But I say that all the time! 😂
