It was a great day for a hike weather was cool. Some snow not enough to use mirco spikes. Happy to finally hike a peak it’s been so long.

The “BOWL” I didn’t do Baldy I did Baden Powell, but for Baden-Powell no crampons needed not enough snow.
How you get to trail road closed
Hi Tina! If you look closely at Erica’s post, she started from the Islip Saddle trailhead. Highway 2 was open to Islip Saddle (from La Cañada). But now Highway 2 is open all the way through (as of a few days ago), so you can also hike from the traditional Vincent Gap route.
