Gate was closed at Grassy Hollows, so had to park here and walk on the road for 2.6 miles to get to the Vincent Gulch Divide trailhead (5.2 extra miles roundtrip). Snow at this trailhead and the whole way up. Put on microspikes and followed someone's trail for a few miles until a point where it looks like he or she turned around. The latest snowfall covered the previous tracks so had to make our own. Went straight up for the most part. Some postholing here and there about 1 feet deep. Topped out on the final ridge and put on crampons. Made out way across the ridge to Wally and final ascent up to the summit. Didn't see anyone else on the mountain until we were about halfway down. Ran into the super hiking twins too. Good day to be out there, besides the road hiking. That hike back was horrible. Got to the gate and the road was full of cars, whereas we were the only car when we started.
