It started as a beautiful morning. It was cold in the 40s, so I had several layers on. The layers went on & off throughout the hike. Once we hit devils backbone the wind was really blowing. So much so that on the last crossing before the final push, it was throwing off my concentration & some were having major issues with their eyes watering. Luckily it calmed down.
The sky was very beautiful since it had just rained the day before. Also on the way back down there was a lot of loose gravel so we had to concentrate so not to slip.
