Snow:

Trail snow-covered at times – Gear and expertise recommended

We did Mt Baldy via Register Ridge. The hike is nearly straight uphill but was free from snow. Microspikes were not needed on the way up unless your boots are not suited for loose gravel.

The way back we used the Baldy Bowl trail with a short rest at the Ski hut. The section between the peak and the hut was covered in quite a bit of snow and microspikes were absolutely necessary. Crampons would be overkill, though we had them just in case.
